“Some Love,” the second single from A Lull's critically acclaimed debut Confetti, features the Ohio-based sonic experimenters at their most poignant and compelling. A Lull’s trademark percussive cacophony is a powerful backdrop for a song built around the the anthemic exclamation, “Show me some love.” The cascading “ahhs” that make up the song’s hooks are forcefully uplifting, and this overall feeling of positivity is affirmed by Anthony Ciannamea’s video. A remix from Mush Records’ Brothertiger re-imagines “Some Love” as if it were his own song, replacing the band’s onslaught of drums with a chillwave cool. San Francisco’s City Light provides a more minimal remix, augmenting the vocals with stuttering snares and sub bass flourishes. The final and most etherial remix comes from Sun Glitters, who employ warped tape effects and pitch shifts to create an enveloping landscape out of the song’s refrain.
