Vuurwerk deliver the Plus EP, the second is a series of releases from the dj-based version of underground act Jealov. "Teen Angst" picks up right where their first EP left off. After establishing the track with a slow thumping eerie grind, the track suddenly kicks a stuttering tech-house beat around a chopped vocal left over from the first part of the track. The short and beautiful "Desire Come" transitions into the garage underpinnings of "Desire Go" - however this being Vuurwerk, the track maintains a certain abstract quality that leaves you both emotionally unsettled yet not able to resist moving to the beat. "U$$$" kicks off with keyboards stabs that would feel at home in the earliest deep house tracks before a series of twisted samples and hard drums pull you back to realize that this is a truly modern track. "Dresses" grabs a garage vocal snippet and twists it beyond recognition chopping the line "I can't get you out of my head" until the track is stuck in yours. "Shadows (No, No, No)" concludes the Plus EP using some of the same combinations of darkness and light that drive the rest of the EP. Once again Vuurwerk has delivered a series of tracks for the world's most risk-taking dancefloors.
