"Adore Me" is the first single from Golden Glow - the delightful DIY solo project of Manchester singer/songwriter Pierre Hall. Made up of singularly British songwriting and vocal styling, flecks of guitar, a bare-bones drum machine, and accompanied by a dazed and dreamy music video, "Adore Me" has caught the eyes and ears of many. Recently compared to the likes of Joy Division, Pierre Hall's melancholy vocals and un-perfected recording techniques give off a lo-fi charm that is lost in much of today’s mainstream. The single is rounded out with three obscurities. Golden Glow's version of "Every Day Hurts" from one of the most influential bands in his life, Sad Café, was commissioned by the BBC to celebrate 40 years of BBC Radio Manchester. Also included are two of the first tracks recorded in the basic studio used to record Golden Glow's debut Tender Is The Night - a haunting cover of The Velvet Underground's "Femme Fatale" and a romp through "Sunny Freeman" - which is actually the 2nd song ever written by Pierre Hall, years before he established himself with his band Lead Balloons.
