In celebration of the fantastic videos for "Goodmorning Sun" and "Circles" from his full-length Q&A, Qua has put together an EP that combines the album versions of each track with distinct remixes by forward-thinking producers. "Goodmorning Sun" is reworked by two fellow Ausies: AOI opens his triptych remix with a viscous wonky bass intro, followed by a lush but raucous indie-style freakout, and closes with an abbreviated glitchy coda; Shady Lane balances the subtle musicality of Qua's original with some heavy breakbeat production. Two American Mush alum give "Circles" a once over: Thavius Beck remakes the track in his own image, layering paranoiac synths and vocal stabs over chopped up elements of Qua's drum programming; Deru picks up where Thavius Beck left off, taking elements of percussion and conjuring seemingly endless layers of foreboding and etherial layers of digital noise. From intricate melody to brutish breaks, Qua has assembled an EP that highlights the best of two great album tracks.
