Pressed And stuffed themselves with spaghetti westerns and space-age meatballs to create Cowboy Aquarium, their latest EP of meticulously crafted, organically electronic funk. Recorded during a particularly fertile few homebound months while feeling the isolation of winter, the tracks are constructed from a microphone, an old nylon string guitar, a family piano, and a full serving of beat machines. With titles like "The West Was One", "Lone Stranger" and "Zebulon Vance" and a musical feel to match, the EP succeeds as a Old West soundtrack that's been transported to a 22nd century colony on Mars.
