Future Adventures is the follow-up to Corduroi's critically acclaimed debut EP, Anything For Now. At just under twenty minutes spread across five meticulously produced tracks, Corduroi has delivered a release that uses more sound palate and highlights than many albums twice as long. "The Future" opens the album with swirling pads before breaking into sharp rhythmic synth and drum work with chopped vocals that sound submerged under water. "Glow Worm" features a beautiful synth pattern underpinned with glitched drums and electronic stabs. "Emerald Rain" and "Adventures" (which was co-produced by production phenom Galapagos) combine wonderfully off-kilter drums, cutting sawtooth bass, vocals pitched and morphed beyond recognition and enough change-ups to make it seem you've just listened to an entire career's worth of ideas. "Staticity" closes out the album out with an 80's slow-synth ballad worthy of a Georgio Morroder soundtrack. As a timely placed sample in the first track notes, "the only thing to be sure about the future is that it will be absolutely fantasic."
