"Lost On Me," the new single from Command V, is a celebratory and soul-infected introduction to the band. Accompanying a raw video that captures that there are still parts of NYC that don't resemble Disneyland, the original mix haunts with dual octave vocals over a self propelling beat. The remixers on the single all shine. Optimo, who recently remixed the No New York compilation featuring many of Command V’s No Wave contemporaries, up the self-propelling dancefloor energy without losing any of the edge. Max Pask emphasizes the originals tech bite, stripping the track down, adding tribal undertones, and keeping it minimal. Mighty Mouse ramps the songs post-disco energy turning in a mix perfect for peak hour, Night Plane adds electro tech grime, and NYC disco kingpin Jacques Renault smoothes the track out for the 5AM comedown. Finally, Command V's own Pat Irwin completely revamps the track as a psychedelic head-trip complete with cavernous percussion and menacing bass.
